FITNESS TRAINER / INSTRUCTOR

FRONT DESK SALES ASSISTANT
Whistler Core Climbing and Fitness Centre is seeking a qualified Front Desk Assistant to join our Team. The Core provides award-winning Fitness services and Products to members and guests. This position is integral to achieving our mission of service excellence. Candidates should be mature, engaging, and motivated who have experience in sales, member/guest relations, and administration. There will be additional consideration given to those with marketing, climbing and/or fitness industry accreditation and experience. The successful candidate will be a leader in a team environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Foster a positive and professional work environment - Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues - Promote membership sales, climbing programs, and fitness services - Maintain strong product knowledge of gym offerings and policies - Oversee daily front desk operations including opening/closing procedures - Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming - Liaise with climbing, fitness, and management teams to ensure smooth operations - Support marketing and promotions with in-gym displays and social media communications - Coordinate bookings and special events as needed - Track front desk KPIs such as daily sales, membership feedback and bookings - Monitor inventory and place supply orders when necessary QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS - 2+ years of customer service/administrative experience, preferably in a gym, climbing facility, or hospitality environment - Exceptional customer service and communication skills - Strong organizational and time-management abilities - Proficiency with bookings and POS systems (MindBody preferred) - Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed - Passion for climbing, fitness, or outdoor adventure is a strong asset - Additional consideration for those with experience in the fitness and climbing industry. - Must be Canadian or have a current Canadian work visa. CLIMBING GUIDE / INSTRUCTOR
Join a dynamic team of health, fitness and adventure enthusiasts. Whistler Core Climbing and Fitness Centre, located in Whistler, BC, is seeking a Climbing Instructor to join our team. As a Climbing Instructor, you will assist in the overall direction, organization, and quality of our indoor rock climbing. Provide high quality instruction and experiences for all our members and guests. Promote a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for climbers to have fun and improve their climbing fitness and skills. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES - Advance and uphold the Team's mission to create a fun, collaborative, and positive environment, for all our members to achieve their climbing and athletic goals - Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and provide a premium client experience while contributing to the positive atmosphere - Front desk sales with some closing shifts - Indoor climbing instruction and coaching - Route setting and managing other route setters - Outdoor guiding - End-of-day sales and cashouts - General maintenance and cleaning - Some late-night closing shifts (2-10:30pm/1-9:30pm) QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS - Strong climbing background - Minimum of one-year coaching and instructional experience in the climbing industry - Superior organizational, communication, motivational skills, and goal-oriented. - Ability to have enthusiastic and open communication with all guests - Knowledge of roped climbing and bouldering techniques - Ability to coach all levels of climbers - Sales experience - Ability to work autonomously. - Additional consideration for those with fitness accreditation, experience in route setting, retail sales, member/guest relations and ACMG or equivalent Climbing Instructor accreditation - Must be Canadian or have a current Canadian work visa Job Type: Full or Part-time Hours: 16 - 40 hours per week Thank you in advance for your application but please note that only those short-listed will be contacted. |
CLEANER

Whistler Core Climbing and Fitness Centre, located in Whistler, BC, is looking for a part-time cleaning professional to join our team. The cleaner plays an important role in providing our guests a safe work out environment. By using cleaning products and methods, recommended by the Provincial Health Authority, the successful candidate will strive daily to maintain our high standards for cleanliness. This position is for 2 days per week and requires 3-4 hours of work per day in the late evening or early morning start. (yes that is right you get to play during the day!). RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES - Advance and uphold the Team's mission to create a clean, and healthy environment, for all our members to achieve their climbing and athletic goals - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - A natural eye for cleanliness and detail. - Reliable, energetic, positive, and honest nature. - Previous cleaning experience. - Must be Canadian or have a current Canadian work visa |
