Qualifications:

- Minimum of three years of experience as a personal trainer and teaching group fitness classes

- Current nationally recognized PT and group fitness certification

- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology or related field preferred

- Demonstrated passion for fitness industry career path

- Must be Canadian or have a current Canadian work visa

- Strong computer skills and experience with Mindbody point of sale system

- Outgoing, enthusiastic and motivational

- Sales skills and experience

- Superior interpersonal and communication skills

- Current CPR and First Aid certification

Whistler Core Climbing and Fitness Centre is seeking a qualified Front Desk Manager to join our Team. The Core provides award-winning Fitness services and Products to members and guests. This position is integral to achieving our mission of service excellence. Candidates should be mature, engaging, and motivated who have experience in sales, member/guest relations, and administration. There will be additional consideration given to those with marketing, climbing and/or fitness industry accreditation and experience. The successful candidate will be a leader in a team environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate day-to-day Frontline operations.

- Advance and uphold the Team's mission to create a fun, collaborative, and positive environment, for all our members and visitors to achieve their fitness and athletic goals.

- Manage inquiries and daily sales.

- Assist other trainers, coaches, and instructors.

- Help with face-to-face membership communication.

- Support management and administrative procedures.

-Collaborates with management and assist with the conceptualization and development of marketing strategies and assets to promote specific services and identifies opportunities for joint initiatives with other service providers.

- End-of-day sales, cashouts, and audits.

-Assist with social media and marketing.

- Some general maintenance and cleaning.

- Some late-night closing shifts (2-10:30pm/1-9:30pm).

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Strong sales background.

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

-University/College degree in a related discipline.

- Superior organizational, communication, motivational skills, and goal-oriented.

- Ability to have enthusiastic and open communication with all guests.

- Knowledge of MS Office and MS Excel.

- Experience with MindBody POS is an asset.

- Ability to multi-task.

- Ability to work autonomously.

As a Climbing Instructor, you will assist in the overall direction, organization, and quality of our indoor rock climbing. Provide high quality instruction and experiences for all our members and guests. Promote a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for climbers to have fun and improve their climbing fitness and skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and provide a premium client experience while contributing to the positive atmosphere

- Front desk sales with some closing shifts

- General maintenance and cleaning

- Some late-night closing shifts (2-10:30pm/1-9:30pm)

- Knowledge of roped climbing and bouldering techniques

- Ability to coach all levels of climbers

- Sales experience

- Ability to work autonomously.

- Additional consideration for those with fitness accreditation, experience in route setting, retail sales, member/guest relations and ACMG or equivalent Climbing Instructor accreditation
