Introduction to Climbing Course

This is an excellent 1.5 hour course designed for the absolute beginner. You will learn basic knots, how to belay, route finding skills, rope management, equipment review and some basic movement technique. After you complete the course you are free to stay and climb as long as your arms will last!

The Following indoor courses build off each preceding course and are an extension of the Local’s and Ladies nights. They can also be book privately with one of our qualified instructors.

Introduction To Climbing and Movement

This course includes everything our Introductory Course offers plus an additional hour devoted entirely to climbing movements and technique. This course is an excellent way to help you excel in the world of climbing. You will receive an extra day pass upon completion of the course (equipment rentals are not included with the free bonus day pass).

Climbing Movement 101

This course explores the fundamentals of climbing movement. Warm ups and cool downs, footwork, body positioning, grip choice, balanced movement, and mental preparation. Basic stuff yes, but practices even experienced climbers need to focus on in order to climb with maximum efficiency.

Climbing Movement 201

This course builds on the techniques and principles taught in Climbing Movement 101. Now that you have the fundamentals down, we look to build upon these concepts. We revisit a few basic principles of footwork, weight transfers, and efficient body positions, in order to prepare you to think about climbing in a new way. Topics covered include; how to climb efficiently, mental preparedness and focus, training endurance and power, and effective strategies for red-pointing. This course is designed for the intermediate level climber looking to climb beyond plateaus.
